Human Resources Director
Superior National Bank and Trust, located in Hancock, Mich., is inviting qualified candidates to submit their resume for consideration as our next Human Resources Director. This position is expected to establish and implement policies and procedures to recruit, develop and retain the best possible staff to serve the financial institution. This will involve developing and executing a position classification system, job and applicant screening, and recruitment activities. The Director oversees the preparation of compensation guidelines and policies, and conducts periodic review/research of such guidelines to keep the institution current with industry trends. This position also has responsibility of managing benefits administration, policies, and procedures, and all compliance-related training required for employees of SNB. They will oversee all other aspects of staffing including implementation of new employee on-boarding, training, and performance reviews, performance management, staff coaching and development, payroll processes and payroll tax reporting, all state/federal regulatory reporting, and labor union agreement negotiations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelorís degree in human resources, personnel, business administration, or related field, five or more years of experience in a financial institution or human resources environment, knowledge of Federal and State human resources laws and regulations, and SPHR preferred.
