What are Deposit Accounts?

In general terms, a Deposit Account is simply any account that requires an initial deposit in order to open the account.  For some accounts, there is a set amount for that account – as with CD’s.  For some, there is a minimum deposit or a minimum balance.  For most, there is neither a minimum initial deposit, nor is there a balance requirement.
